The winter weather made us want to hunker down, but the Foundry Partners staff stayed active in Boone County, serving and supporting our neighbors.
Lebanon Kiwanis Club served meals at the Shalom House on February 7 and 21. Procurement Manager Greg Woods (pictured) helped serve with the club on the 21st. Although she couldn’t serve on the 7th, Suzanne Rothenberg baked a chocolate cake to be served for dessert. “My Gramma Hariett used to make this cake for my birthday. I’m happy to provide it for our friends at Shalom,” she said. We’re proud to support the Lebanon Kiwanis pancake breakfast on April 9 and we hope to see you there!
Foundry Partners now provides 2 Read Up Tutors. “Read Up is a fun and meaningful experience. We’re reading with kids, and the program is great for their personal development too,” said Ryan Poling who volunteers once a week along with Madison Kasten.
As proud sponsors of the West Central Indiana Welding Competition, we also had the privilege to judge the event. Foundry Partners Quality Executive Aaron Hall put his Certified Welding Instructor credentials to work as one of three judges. They assessed the quality and aesthetics of each student’s weld. West Central Indiana Career and Technical Education serves students from Western Boone Schools and we hope to welcome some of these talented welders to our jobsites in the future.
We recently launched a new office tradition of highlighting a local business each month. We encourage our staff to visit the business and take a picture to prove it. In February, we chose Just Love Coffee. In March, our featured business is the Milky Way.
