Community Roundup: Partnering to Build Community
This summer, Foundry Partners teamed up with the community organizations who strengthen Boone County and have fun doing it!
For the second year in a row, we competed in the Boone County Battle of the BBQ. This annual event raises money for the Boone County Cancer Society. While we didn’t win the competition, our team had a great time. We’re honored to play a small part in raising over $100,000 for cancer patients in Boone County. We are already planning our team shirts, decorations, and snacks for next year. If you didn’t catch us at the BBQ this year, come find us next year.
A new school year wouldn’t be complete without a back-to-school drive. Foundry Partners made it an interdepartmental contest, and the students of Boone County won. We donated over 3,000 items to Freedom Church, completing their list over 185 times. When our friends in Thorntown asked about donating school supplies, we learned that Freedom Church supports Thorntown students, too. We are grateful that our community partners can amplify our impact to reach all of Boone County.
What’s next? Catch us in the community this fall! We will be supporting the Thorntown Parks Department for Lilly Global Day of Service. We wouldn’t miss the opportunity to set up another spooky construction site at the Heart of Lebanon’s Mischief on Meridian. We plan to repeat our Thanksgiving Canned food drive for The Caring Center.
To our partners in Boone County, thank you for allowing us to partner with you in building community.
