Safety First, Always.

Rather than fixating solely on achieving zero incidents, emphasis was placed on embracing a safety-oriented mindset irrespective of the circumstances.”

Mitch Allen, Sr. Safety Director

The Foundry Partners conducted the first session of Incident & Injury Free (IIF) Training on Wednesday, August 27. As the cornerstone of our safety culture, employees spend four hours building relationships and cultivating a safety-oriented mindset. “The primary objective of IIF training at the Medicine Foundry is to instill a profound sense of safety consciousness among our craft personnel & all Foundry Partners, making it personally meaningful, relevant, and imperative. In essence, it underscores the stark reality: SAFETY IS REAL,said Mitch Allen, Operations Safety Director.

Joe Bash, Vice President of Operations for F.A. Wilhelm, kicked off the training by speaking on the importance of following established procedures. He emphasized the need for a proactive mindset to correct safety violations and keep the team safe.Mitch Allen, and Safety Executive Justin Haddon led the duration of the training. They focused on the importance of communication between site staff and leaders, safety procedures, and recognizing hazards on site.

As we continue to build team ownership of Foundry Partners’ safety culture, all employees will complete this interactive and introspective training, which is offered twice monthly.
